Guru Nanak Darbar Red Deer is a welcoming Sikh Gurdwara serving Central Alberta with Gurbani Kirtan, Langar, and community programs—open to all.
Guru Nanak Darbar Red Deer is the spiritual home of the Sikh community in Central Alberta. Guided by the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji—truth, equality, and seva (selfless service)—our Gurdwara is open to everyone, regardless of background or faith. Visitors are invited to join Shabad Kirtan (devotional singing), participate in Ardas and Hukamnama, and share a hot vegetarian meal in the free community kitchen (Langar). We host regular programs for families, children, and youth, including Punjabi/Gurmukhi classes, kirtan and tabla learning, and volunteer-led initiatives such as food drives and newcomer support. Major Sikh festivals and Gurpurabs are observed with special diwans and community gatherings that celebrate “Sarbat da Bhala” (well-being of all). Whether you’re exploring Sikhism, seeking a quiet space for prayer, or looking to volunteer, you’ll find a warm, respectful welcome. The Gurdwara includes a prayer hall, langar hall, and accessible facilities. For program timings, event updates, seva opportunities, or donation information, please contact the management committee or follow our social channels.
